How I started traveling

My interest for travel began in childhood, where summers were spent journeying from New York City to the mountainous landscape of Greece. Each year, our family would travel back to Greece, but the real journey began once we landed in Athens.

From Athens, we would then embark on an eight-plus hour drive (and a small boat ride before a bridge was built!) to our family village, which was an experience in itself. Winding through the breathtaking mountain roads, and hairpin turns, that offered stunning views and a glimpse into rural life. Those long hours in the car ignited my curiosity for the world beyond my familiar surroundings and fostered a love for exploration.

From those early experiences, I learned to appreciate the beauty of different cultures, landscapes, and the joy of discovering new places—sparking a lifelong journey that continues to shape who I am today.
